Jones Beach Concerts - entertaining citizen For YearsUNDER THE BOARDWALK- THE DRIFTERS ORIGINAL VIDEO Tube. Duration : 2.82 Mins.

UNDER THE BOARDWALK- THE DRIFTERS ORIGINAL VIDEO "Under the Boardwalk" is a hit pop song written by Kenny Young and Arthur Resnick and recorded by The Drifters in 1964. The lyric describes a tryst between a man and his beloved in a seaside town, who plan to privately meet "out of the sun" and out of sight from everyone else under a boardwalk. The instrumentation includes güiro, triangle and violins. The song's chorus is unusual in that it switches from a major to minor key.[1] The opening line of the song references the Drifters' prior hit "Up on the Roof", showing the occasional thermal weakness of the rooftop getaway and setting the stage for an alternate meeting location, under the boardwalk. The song was set to be recorded on May 21, 1964, but the band's lead singer, Rudy Lewis, unexpectedly died of a suspected heroin overdose the night before. Lewis had sung lead on most of their hits since the 1960 departure of Ben E. King, including "Up on the Roof". Rather than reschedule the studio session to find a new frontman, former Drifters lead vocalist Johnny Moore was brought back to perform lead vocals for the recording.[2] The last-minute move was a success, as the single, released on Atlantic Records, went to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and number one for three non consecutive weeks on Cashbox Magazine's R&B chart.[3] There are two versions of the song. The mono 45 USA released version contains the line "We'll be falling in love." The stereo album ...

Surf Wedding

Those who love to surf may have to decree on doing the ceremony at shore, and probably just surf a big wave after. Exchanging vows while surfing a big wave may not be of course feasible as both of you are moving. Besides, it would of course be difficult to find an officiant who would be willing to surf with you. To keep with the theme, the groom and his groomsmen may wear surfboard cufflinks while the bride and her bridesmaids may use surfboard hairclips. Surfboard Cufflinks and hairclips are also good wedding souvenirs to be distributed to guests at the reception.

Pirate Wedding

After Captain Jack Sparrow invaded the big screen, pirate-themed events are now of course cool. If you are one of those couples who watched, enjoyed and followed the Pirates of the Caribbean series, why not consider becoming Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann for a day? Have treasure chests and gold coins scattered in the venue. Arrive in costume and ask guests to do the same. One of the most engaging wedding souvenir options would, of course, be small replicas of the Heart of Davy Jones! Replicas of Jack Sparrow's pirate beads, Hector Barbossa's pendant or Elizabeth Swann's coin are also good souvenirs choices.

Whichever plan you may choose, some basic wedding ideas can be added here and there to generate the perfectly unique beach wedding for you. Put sailboat place card holders on the table. Use dolphin bottle openers. Have starfish frosted glass coasters. Serve mini rum cakes for dessert. These petite details will add up to offer a uniquely gorgeous beach setting.

The Best of the Johnny Cash TV Show Specifications

During the late 1960s and early '70s, Johnny Cash introduced country fans and viewers of his weekly variety show to hand-picked artists-- some contemporary country's best—whom they may not have otherwise had exposure to. This "best of" anthology is a little more random than its title suggests, omitting the duet with Bob Dylan from the program's debut (perhaps the best remembered highlight from the series) in favor of a duet with the then-emerging Joni Mitchell on "Girl From the North Country," and including a hokey arrangement of "I've Been Everywhere" with Lynn Anderson. Yet Ray Charles' soulful recasting of "Ring of Fire" is a revelation, and a roster ranging from Eric Clapton's Derek and the Dominoes to Roy Orbison to George Jones and (separately) Tammy Wynette made for some memorable television. --Don McLeese

When many people, singles and families alike, think about booking a holiday, many of them would only reconsider going to the beach for a fortnight's lounging on the beach under the sun and swimming in warm, azure waters.

However, many of the best, most paramount beach locations are magnets for crowds of people. It appears that most citizen like the sand, the sea and the sun. Now some citizen go to these destinations literally because they are busy. They like the crowds and the night clubs that motion to them. Mainly singles go to these types of destinations and a holiday romance is not far from many peoples' minds.

Some have hotels on them but some do not. Those that do not frequently have inland beach bungalow rental properties instead. These are nearly all the time self-catering.

When most citizen think of a beach it is instinctively connected with the sea. However, this need not inevitably be so. There are also inland beaches on lakes and rivers. These beaches are commonly referred to as inland beaches. Somewhere to stay can be a problem with even some of the best inland beaches.

Many of these inland beaches are just not customary enough to make a hotel commercially viable, but some of them have bungalow rentals as an alternative. These cottages, or cabins sometimes, can be difficult to find if you do not book early enough. They are frequently unblemished homes, fully qualified with all the household amenities you have grown accustomed to: a fully furnished living room, manifold bedrooms, bathrooms, and a contemporary kitchen.

Inland beach bungalow rentals are popular because they are commonly settled exactly on the water's edge. This makes the patch of beach right before your bungalow your incommunicable beach. You can sleep on it at night if it's hot, lie there all day or set up a few fishing lines.

In the evenings, you can hitch up with neighbours to have a party or keep yourself to yourself. For this reason, it is a good idea to check photos of the bungalow before you make a reservation.

If an inland beach bungalow rental sounds just up your street, there are thousands to select from in the United States and Canada. The Great Lakes are a particularly fine place to go. There are breathtaking locations in the Finger Lakes region of New York state and along Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.

You will not be disappointed about going on holiday to an inland beach bungalow rental property. There are so many variations that there is literally something for every pocket and every house size. Singles are not so well catered for, but if you want a quiet holiday alone. Maybe to study, then this might fitting be for you too.

You can fly into some of these resorts by seaplane, but it is more probable that you will take your own car or a rental car, if you want to get out and do some exploring further afield. Personally, I would rather hire a boat.
